James Cromwell as George H.W. Bush & Ellen Burstyn as his wife, Barbara Bush.

Playing the part of George Bush's (Josh Brolin's) wife is Elizabeth Banks.

Bush's two secretary of state's...Colin Powell will be played by Jeffery Wright...

...and Condelezza Rice will be played by Thandie Newton.

Any thoughts on these casting choices?
this entire project weirds me out.
ReplyDeleteIt really just seems to one giant rouse, you know? Like Stone's just messing with us.
ReplyDelete... but he's not ...
*cries in confusion and frustration*
um...
ReplyDeletewow?
i'm not all into lookalike actors playing the parts. but shouldn't they have more than, say, similar skin color and the same gender in common?
Condi would kill for Thandie's ass!
ReplyDeleteIt is oliver stone after all. What conpsiracy theory will he come up with next? Though thandie newton as rice works for me.
ReplyDeleteJeffrey Wright as Colin Powell? I am now officially sold on this film.
ReplyDeleteHaving just seen Thandie Newton in Run, Fat Boy, Run, this is kinda weird to me. But out of all the latest casting choices, I think she could be a good Condi. Who knows?
ReplyDeleteThis seems like an awfully high-caliber cast. Particularly with Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, and Ellen Burstyn.... I'm very interested to see what the spin will be on this film. Who knows what axe the write has to grind.... or Stone for that matter.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm officially interested now, too.
I'm not affraid about Thandie Newton, I'm affraid to Elizabeth Banks
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be weird feeling sexually attracted to the on-screen Condi Rice.
ReplyDeleteTo me Laura Bush always looks like she spends her days completely whacked out on Xanax and red wine. Can Elizabeth Banks pulls that vacant look off?
ReplyDeleteI vote Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Karl Rove. And Mr. Smithers as Dick Cheney.
