Disapointed in Constant Gardner's poor BAFTA performance

When the British Academy of Film Awards (the BAFTAs) announced their nominations I was very excited to see that The Constant Gardner had 10 nominations, more than any other movie (Crash and Brokeback Mountain each had 9 nominations)...(you can read a nomination article here)

Yet this weekend, in the awards, The Constant Gardner stunk...only winning one award, for editing. Here's a good summary of this year's award show here).

Here's a list of the main award winners:
BEST FILM: Brokeback Mountain
BEST BRITISH FILM: Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
BEST DIRECTOR: Ang Lee, Brokeback Mountain
BEST ACTOR: Philip S. Hoffman, Capote
BEST ACTRESS: Reese Witherspoon, Walk the Line
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Jake Gyllenhaal, Brokeback Mountain
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Thandie Newton, Crash
BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: Crash
BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: Brokeback Mountain

To be the most surprising wins were that Jake Gyllenhall won supporting (over 2 Clooney nods and 2 crash nods)...also Thandie Newton's win is surprising to me...I kind of figured Michelle Williams would win.
