Worst Picks of 2005: Critics vs. Viewers

Earlier today I posted the critics composite list of the worst films of 2005. This is obviously the critics take, and only accounting for critics who made lists like this.

But I had a hard time putting Sin City on the list...because even though I haven't seen it, I knew people would disagree with it.

On the internet movie database (imdb.com) Sin City has a score of 8.4 out of 10 from viewers making it according to imdb.com the #69th best movie of all time...like I said...haven't seen it, but I've got to say that seems a little high.

As for the bottom 5 let's see how they stack up with IMDb voters.

1. Stealth 4.7/10 (6,187 votes)
2. Alone in the Dark 2.2/10 (6,954 votes) #20 on the bottom 100
3. Elizabethtown 6.4/10 (5, 861 votes)
4. Dukes of Hazzard 4.6/10 (8,269 votes)
5. Elektra 5.1/10 (9,330 votes)

Like I said, haven't seen any of these, but I gotta say I'm going to have to go with the imdb.com and guess that when it really comes down to it...Alone in the Dark has got to be worse that Stealth...

Also from 2005 according to imdb.com...
In the Mix 1.9/10 (1,844 votes) #7 worse movie of all time
The Honeymooners 2.0 (1,983) #9 worse movie of all time
Son of the Mask 2.1 (3,746 votes) #13 worse
Get Rich or Die Tryin' 2.3/10 (4,924) #27 worse
The Gospel 2.8/10 (693 votes) #60 worse
Yours, Mine and Ours 2.8/10 (969 votes) #65
The Fog 3.1/10 (3546 votes) #89

I gotta say I trust imdb.com for the evaluating of what's the worst of the worst.

Power to the People (and the imdb.com voters)
