Crooks Find New Opportunities at Starbucks

According to the San Francisco Chronicle crooks and robbers are finding new opportunities at Starbucks, I'm not talking special employment programs. Jaxon Van Derbeken in his article relays the story of a 40-year old man who got stabbed in a Starbucks and his $2500 Apple Power Book was stolen.

Talk about impatient crooks, couldn't they have waited until he went to the bathroom? Maybe they felt uncomfortable because they wanted to play it cool but didn't know how to order a medium coffee. ("Is a tall coffee big, or is a tall coffee small" they were overheard saying...just kidding).

Hey kids...be careful in your Wi-Fi hot spots...Criminals might be out to get your laptop!

Info discovered at Starbucks gossip.

Hey what's up. You left a comment on my blog the other day, and I thought I'd stop over for a visit.

Cool blog. Feel free to visit mine anytime. The door is always open. Same for your readers as well.

As for this particular post. It's scary. I have a 6 month old lab, and when he was about 2-3 months, I had a guy pick him up while I was walking him and then tell me he was going to kill him if I didn't give him my dog. Luckily everything worked out, but you've gotta watch yourself no matter what you are doing.

I still feel safe taking my lap top to Starbucks where I live, but I think it probably wise for people to be aware of their surroundings. Having been to SF before, I doubt I would feel comofortable to just plant myself in a downtown store with a nice lap top...

Hey, if you hang out at a status place, you gotta expect people to start feeling a little bit jealous. The whole "haves vs. have-nots" thing...
