Val Kilmer also played Batman once upon a time.

It's amazing how many superheroes they find to make movies after! I kind of recognize Iron Man, but really have no idea who he is. Superman, Batman, Spiderman all work. Daredevil was even a stretch.

You don't want to forget others, though, like the Fantastic Four and X-Men. They'd count as super heroes as well (or at least comic book characters).

Aren't they looking at a Wonder Woman movie too?

Hola RC .. I think Downey will be a solid choice for this flick . he has battled many of the same demons as Ironman himself, and he's just a heck of a good actor to boot

No, he did NOT. It never happened. We will never speak of this again. (Cover's ears, shuts eyes) LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA.

Downey is a great choice. An actual actor as opposed to a pretty boy. Downey was great in Chaplin and Natural Born Killers and even in a little-seen, enjoyable romantic comedy called Heart and Souls. Plus, Tony Stark's struggles with alcohol addiction (surely an element of the film) will be lent an air of authority by this casting choice. Good deal.

Iron Man is in the Avengers in Marvel Comics. I gotta say, when they whip a guy out like him for a movie they're kind of scraping the bottom of the superhero barrel.
