Politics: Bald & Hairy

National Public Radio is often very unpredictable. I can't help but share the link to this story about an observation about a pattern of bald and hairy leaders of Russia since 1917...as well as the lack of bald leaders in the executive office.

You can read the article from morning edition here, but I HIGHLY recommend the audio filebecause in it you get the Russian song of bald and hairy political leaders, put together just for the story.

Listen Here and learn...

Vladimir Lenin - bald
Joseph Stalin - hairy.
Nikita Khrushchev - bald
Leonid Brezhnev -hairy
Yuri Andropov - bald
Konstantin Chernenko - hairy
Mikhail Gorbachev - bald
Boris Yeltsin - hairy
Vladimir Putin- bald
Dmitry Medvedev - hairy

Forget all other types of discrimination...where are the bald people (men & women) in American politics?

That's pretty funny.

I noticed a trend in our own executive office a couple years ago. From Washington to Lincoln no President had facial hair (unless you count JQA's hefty sideburns as facial hair). From Lincoln to Taft all but two Presidents did have facial hair (Johnson and McKinley were clean shaven). After Taft, no President has had facial hair.
