Not a bad point, really. Great comedy is true art. Should the Academy and Cannes have a separate award for it?
@ Magnus - no way, I don't think the awards should be distinguised that way at all.
But I do think that at the heart of the matter, quality and intivative comedy that truly entertains is limited in the film atmosphere.
Additionally, I think too many people thinks it has to be serious to be "art."
Wonder where that would leave someone like Wes Anderson?
