Critics Rankings of the Worst Films in 2005

There's a lot of critics who do top 10 list...but you know...most of those critics go and see a lot of movies, because we want to see previews of every movie in our newspapers every friday (and reviews for bad movies can sometimes be fun to write).

A fun website, moviecitynews.com, combines different critics to create a composite top list and a composite worst list. The list was made with over 30 critics bottom 10 list.

Fortunatly, I've only seen 1 of the bottom 21 films (Bewitched...which I thought was somewhat entertaining), perhaps you've seen more of these worse films. (You can check out the complete list here)

20 & 21. The Fog & Sin City (tie)
19. A Sound of Thunder
18. Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl
17. Kingdom of Heaven
16. The Man
15. The Wedding Date
14. The Brothers Grimm
13. The Pacifer
12. Bewitched
11. The Island
10. Diary of a Mad Black Woman
9. XXX: State of the Union
8. Fantastic Four

How in the world Stealth beat out Alone in the Dark for worst film is beyond me; sure, it was nothing to write home about, but its worst sin was its blandness, as opposed to the full out badness of Dark.

Then again, the fact that Sin City ties with The Fog reminds me why I put so little stock in these sorts of lists
