The Dating Game: Star Wars Edition

In honor of the the 30th Anniversary of the release of the 1st Star Wars movie I pose a scenario.

What if Chuck Barris put together a special edition of the dating game, circa 1977. In this episode, host Jim Lange interested four contestants(instead of the regular three). Now each of these contestants are typically masked, so as they sit behind the divided wall they sit in their typical anonymity.

Bachelor #1 is R2-D2 (Kenny Baker),
Bachelor #2 is Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew),
Bachelor #3 is C-3PO (Anthony Daniels),
Bachelor #4 is Darth Vadar (David Prowse) (note: James Earle Jones is not on the show, so Darth only has a body not a voice)

Now, whoever this lovely bachelorette is who get's to ask these 4 bachelor's questions is in quite a spot because assuming she is human from the planet Earth, not a Droid or a Wookie she will have a very difficult time interacting and asking these 4 Bachelor's questions to find out more about them.

I'm not sure if Darth Vader's heavy breathing is a characteristic of David Prowse or James Earle Jones so that of course could make a difference.

Which Bachelor do you presume a young lady would choose?

NO, No, no. Barris is too weird for even the Cantina Scene;)

You know, if David Prowse had the voice of James Earl Jones, I would say he would win. Sadly, I think the bachelorette would probably choose C-3PO (neither R2-D2 or Chewbacca being comprehensible...).

prowse spoke his parts, though, even though they were edited out. (how's that for star wars nerdiness?)

i think the breathing was done by the sound special effects guy. but it'd be cool if it were just him sitting and breathing, as if his earpiece weren't working and he were just waiting around, reading a newspaper or something.

Hmm. Interesting question. Depends on what the bachelorette wants in a relationship.

If she wants a steady, sweet guy with a good wit, then definitely R2-D2.

If she wants the type that will watch out carefully for her security and maybe be there with some chocolates from time to time, then C-3PO.

If she wants that and some muscle and a bit of adventure--the "strong, silent type"--then it'd be Chewie.

And it'd be Darth Vader if she's goth. :D

Chuck Norris cannot love, he can only not kill.

If she were smart, and I'm not sure how big a leap that would be, she'd go for the JEJ voice---the voice can get me anytime....
