Without looking inside the magazine, I predicted what buzz they would be predicting...naming 10 films/actors (Revolutionary Road, the Cast of Doubt, Angelina Jolie/The Changeling, Australia, Kate Winslett double nominations, Heath Ledger, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frank Langella in Frost/Nixon, Wall-E, Jamie Foxx/The Soloist).
Off all my buzz points, I think I did pretty good, with the exception of the movie The Soloist being moved to 2009.
Entertainment Weekly greatly disappointed me because because the article was so short (pictured left). I was frustrated back in April namely because there article was so short and hardly deserved the cover space on the issue. My post is here comparing our predicted buzz.
In the April article, EW only listed 7 movies/performances. Let me list them in brief here: Australia, Revolutionary Road, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Keira Knightly/The Duchess, Julianne Moore/Mark Ruffalo/Blindness, Russell Crowe/Leonardo di Caprio/Body of Lies, Viggo Mortesen/The Road.

The Road was postponed, and Body of Lies, Blindness, and The Duchess will probably not receive a single nomination unless it's a random technical nomination...but hardly note worthy.
Sorry Entertainment Weekly, but I have to say, I think you should be ashamed of your April buzz column.
(the second picture shows Dave Karger of EW's current predictions for best pic nods: Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon, Milk, and Slumdog Millionaire)
