Top 10 Songs I'm Diggin' this Week

At work, I've recently thrown myself into the world of Pandora, listening to all sorts of music all day long. If you're looking for something new to download to your iPod, watch on youtube, or listen to on myspace...here's my current faves of the week.

Here's 10 of the many songs I'm diggin' these days:

10. Brink of Disaster, Mae
9. Break Your Mama's Back, Slow Runner
8. For One Day, Sylvan
7. Hear Me Out, Frou Frou
6. Noticed, Mute Math
5. Hallelujah, The Hello Sequence
4. Night Windows, The Weakerthans
3. Hurricane, Athlete
2. Life is Beautiful, Vega4
1. True Love, Angels and Airwaves

What are you diggin'?
*pictured above is the band Angels and Airwaves, the San Diego based band fronted by former Blink-182 guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge.

I gotta tell you, I have no idea why, but that's not at all the music I would have expected you'd enjoy.

I feel so old and un-hip. I don't think I've heard any of these songs, and I've only know 1 of those bands.

BUT, I've always appreciated your musical tastes. You've introduced me to some great bands.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Angels and Airwaves. They're not at all what I would have expected.

I posted some songs I'm "diggin'" on my blog.

It's humbling to realize I have only listened to one of those songs, "Life is Beautiful" by Vega4. I have some Mae, but never listened to Brink of Disaster. I also have some Frou Frou, but never listened to Hear Me Out. I might check them out later.

Mae is a really good band I've only recently discovered. And Frou Frou is awesome.

It crossed my mind when I read your list to ask if you're a fan of the band Brand New. I don't know why it crossed my mind, they're not particularly relevant to anything you listed. But I think they're very good and I associate them with Mae for some reason.

My current obsession is the new Metallica album.

@ Darrell, I don't think I've heard of Brand New. I'll have to check them out.
